One Life to Live and Guiding Light vet Crystal Hunt (ex-Stacy Morasco, OLTL; ex-Lizzie Spaulding, GL) was sentenced Friday to probation for a December 2013 altercation at a West Hollywood bar.
The 29-year-old soap vet pleaded no contest to felony assault by means likely to produce great bodily injury.
Hunt was arrested on December 13 after she allegedly threw a "pint glass" into another woman's face during an incident at Pearl's Liquor Bar. Hunt posted bail and was released the next morning.
Hunt's attorney, meanwhile, maintained that Hunt was not drinking at the time of the alleged altercation and that the unnamed female victim had been threatening Hunt before the incident occurred. Hunt also stated that she'd asked security at the bar to have the woman removed, but security had failed to do so.
Hunt's lawyer added that "Hunt meant to throw her water at the woman, but the glass accidentally slipped out of her hand."
According to TMZ, the Los Angeles County District Attorney filed felony assault with a deadly weapon charges against Hunt. If she had been convicted, Hunt could have faced up to four years in jail.
Instead, L.A. County Superior Court Judge Kathryn Solorzano sentenced Hunt to three years formal probation, as well as 45 days of Caltrans work.
Hunt made her daytime debut as Lizzie Spaulding on Guiding Light in 2003. During her three-year stint on GL, Hunt earned a 2005 Daytime Emmy nomination in the Outstanding Younger Actress category. Hunt later appeared on One Life to Live from 2009 to 2012.
Hunt and several other popular soap stars will be taking a turn on reality TV in the upcoming POP Network documentary series Queens of Drama.
