Andrea Evans joins the web soap, DeVanity

One Life to Life, Passions, The Young and the Restless, and The Bold and the Beautiful vet Andrea Evans has joined the cast of the star-studded web soap, DeVanity.

Multi-soap veteran Andrea Evans (Tina Lord Roberts) has been signed to guest star on award-winning DeVanity. The web soap kicks of its fourth season in early 2014.

Ms. Evans will appear as Vivian Price, the mother of Jason DeVanity. The role promises to be one that the actress can sink her teeth into. Returning after being missing for 30 years, the woman is out to seek revenge for her family against Preston Regis (Gordon Thomson, who played Adam Carrington, Dynasty) as she also helps her son to build his empire.

Producer Michael Caruso stated that he couldn't think of anyone better to play the character. "Her incredible career in daytime has more than proven her capabilities for the range of emotions necessary for this character, and it is an honor to have her on our show," he said.

Evans began filming this summer and will appear in the fourth episode. She joins Thomson, Kyle Lowder (Brady Black, Days of Our Lives; Rick Forrester, The Bold and the Beautiful), Charlene Tilton (Lucy Ewing, Dallas), and Steve Kanaly (Ray Krebbs, Dallas).

Evans has been a cast member of four different soaps -- Passions' Rebecca Hotchkiss Crane, The Bold and the Beautiful's Tawny Moore, The Young and the Restless' Patty Williams, and OLTL's Tina.

DeVanity has racked up over 50 awards and nominations, including Best Writing at the 2013 Indie Soap Awards and a nomination for Best Drama. It was chosen as an Official Selection at the HollyWeb Festival.
