A video of someone messing with a poster of BTS's Jungkook's solo tour has gone viral, and it seems like everyone has their hot take on it. The GOLDEN: The Moments exhibition to celebrate Jungkook’s solo career was held on April 11, 2025.
The immersive event that outlined the storied history behind the production of JK’s first solo album, Golden, was going well. However, on April 20, a clip of someone striking out the word “solo” from “solo world tour” from a wall bearing notes and wishes for Jungkook circulated all over social media.
Fans of the K-pop idol have termed the act as disrespectful, given JK’s previous statements about wanting to go on a solo tour.
Fans react as a visitor crosses out “solo” from a fan’s message to BTS Jungkook at the GOLDEN exhibition
X user @voiceofjeon shared a photo of the X user crossing out the word “solo” and replacing it with “world” and explained in the captions that JK had expressed on multiple social media platforms that he wanted to go on a solo tour. The X user also stated that the words “solo” won’t stop the BTS member from embarking on a solo tour.
@NancyB4887 tweeted in response:
“You can't stop the inevitable. JK is a force to be reckoned with, and I don't think I would mess with ARMY, dude. If you're not a fan, bugger off. If our Golden Maknae wants a solo tour, he will most likely have one. The End. BORAHAE.”
A fan of the singer called out the BTS fandom for letting the other members talk about solo tours and trying to make an exception for JK. @ggukiefolder stated:
“When other members do solo tours then it’s okay for them. They don’t have any problem. But when it comes to Jk, they all have issues. Call solos ugly!”
@minhoe_7luv added:
“GIVE HIM WHAT HE DESIRES THE MOST”’
@rombelle2023 stated:
“Jungkook, please listen to your heart and do a solo tour!!!”
Another X user explained that doing a solo tour wouldn’t affect Jungkook being a BTS member. @armygabby_07 explained:
“He wants a solo tour, but that doesn’t mean he’s leaving bts. He’s always gonna be with bts and Army OT7. BTS is coming back in June, woohoo”
@TBurk283587 stated:
“Not happening; HYBE already stated that after they get out, they will take time off and then off to the studio for their 2026 album release and 2027 world tour. No time”
