American rapper and record producer Travis Scott recently had a run-in with Academy Award winner and actor Adrien Brody at the Paris Fashion Week last month. Not only was Scott shocked to learn that Brody recognized him, but the rapper also revealed that The Brutalist actor told him he was a fan of his music.

During an interview with Complex, Travis Scott shared,

"I sat next to him and I’m like, ‘F***, I don’t even know if this dude knows who I am’... And the first thing he tells me is, ‘Yo, bro, I f*** with your s***.’ And I’m like, ‘What the f***?'" Scott said.

According to Travis, The Grand Budapest Hotel actor also told him:

"You know, I make beats and s***," Brody shared with the rapper.

Scott responded by saying that he and Brody got to talk. He said:

"You got to send me some beats!’ So we chopped it up. Man, that f***ed me up. That’s crazy."

More details from Travis Scott's interview and Adrien Brody's beat-making skills

Travis Scott also opened up about his admiration for Adrien Brody's work. He told Complex during the interview that the encounter with The Pianist actor will stay with him for a long time, not just because he adores the actor, but because of the similarities they shared regarding making beats.

As for Brody's latest work, The Brutalist, this is what Travis Scott had to say a month before the Oscars, according to the outlet:

"That movie is hard as f***... I hope he wins Best Actor. That’s my dog," Scott stated.

As for Adrien Brody's beat-making skills, he already shared in an interview in 2024 with the Los Angeles Times that it is not something new. Brody revealed that he has dabbled in making beats since the 90s after filming Angels in the Outfield.

The actor shared with the L.A. Times:

"I hung out with some kids in The Bay in Oakland who were producing and rapping… I started producing tracks with these guys and learned how to do it and went back to LA, and this was before the internet," Brody explained how he started producing beats.

Will we ever get a collaboration between Travis Scott and Adrien Brody? Nothing has been confirmed yet by any of the parties, but it would not be surprising after this interaction. In the meantime, Scott is getting ready to headline Coachella for the first time in the next few days.
