Green Day fans, brace yourselves! The band is all set to be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in May 2025.

The band shared the exciting announcement with fans through a statement on social media. They wrote:

“All the way from the Boulevard of Broken Dreams to Hollywood Boulevard — we’re celebrating our new star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. This is going to be one to remember... come celebrate with us!”

The ceremony will take place on May 1 at 11:30 a.m. PT. at 6212 Hollywood Blvd., outside the famed Amoeba Music store. It will be then streamed live on the Walk of Fame’s website. According to a report in Billboard, Tennis legend Serena Williams, and actor-producer Ryan Reynolds will be the guest speakers, with Radio and TV personality Matt Pinfield hosting the event.

According to a report in the San Francisco Chronicle, the iconic rock band was formed in 1986 in Berkeley. Over the years, the band has carved a space among fans through its punk rock and pop-punk music. The latest update has come as a pleasant surprise for their fans. How have Green Day fans reacted to their Hollywood Walk of Fame appearance?

Netizens are excited on learning about Green Day’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony. While hardcore fans called them GOAT, others expressed that the honor is well-deserved by the band.

“This is so historic. i remember being bummed i couldn’t be there when you were inducted into the RHOF, i will definitely be there for this!!” a user wrote on X.

Green Day's most recent album is Saviors. This iis their 14th studio album, released on January 19, 2024. They are scheduled to launch the deluxe edition of the album on May 23, 2025, as per their official website. The band comprises Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool.

The band recently performed at Coachella 2025. They now plan to headline festivals including Welcome to Rockville, Oceans Calling and Riot Fest, among others, according to I Heart Music.
