Recently, in commemoration of the group's sixth anniversary, member Yiren revealed that she and her fellow members have not received any payment from Yuehua Entertainment since their debut.
More details on Yiren of EVERGLOW's shocking claims
On Tuesday, March 18, exactly six years after EVERGLOW's debut, Yiren took to her Bubble account to discuss the group's upcoming 2025 Pulse & Heart Japan Concert in Tokyo, which is scheduled for March 21 and 22.
During the discussion, Yiren revealed that she and her fellow group members had not received any payment or compensation from their label throughout the six years of their careers.
Yiren revealed that although she loves the stage so much and enjoys touring with the rest of her members, she is just someone with zero income.
"I love the stage very much, but in a sense, I have zero income, but I don't want to give up this career? In reality, we haven't been settled yet, not once. So, the tour is really what we want to show our fans, and we are working hard to prepare."
Yiren didn't specifically mention their label, Yuehua Entertainment. However, she made fans understand the reason behind the group's lack of recent projects.

"But, I'm sorry that there are no new songs and performance to show everyone, hahahaha...From debut until now, I'm a worker with 0 salary, hahahahahaha. It's okay, at least I can still see forever, and have the chance to stand on the stage. It's fine."
Pop Base shared the revelation on their official X account @PopBase with the caption;
"Yiren of EVERGLOW reveals that the group has not been paid by their company for the entirety of their career."
The post quickly garnered a long trail of comments, as netizens quickly expressed their outrage in the comments section.
"This is very unfair considering how much much they have done to lift up their label. I don’t even know any other Yuehua artists smh," @Czargate commented.
"Whatttt unbelievable!! Everglow had so much potential, their music spectacular and unique. I expected I would see them go viral but instead they kept on vanishing and rarely appeared on shows with very few comebacks. They definitely deserved better." @reemy1st stated.
"That's a serious accusation, and I hope Yiren and EVERGLOW get the compensation they deserve. It's not right for any artist to be exploited like that." @Usama_Gujjar_x tweeted.
"How is this still happening in the industry? Companies need to be held accountable for exploiting their artists." @Rishipatil444 added.
Ever since this information was released, netizens have been criticizing the agency and calling for justice and K-Pop regulation.
At the time of writing this article, Yuehua Entertainment has not made any official statement regarding Yiren's claims.
