Jungkook's debut solo album, GOLDEN, is making strides as it now becomes the first album by an Asian soloist and the fastest album by an Asian act to surpass 5.4 billion streams on Spotify.

The BTS K-pop idol released his debut studio album on November 3, 2023, through Big Hit Music. The all-English album featured guest appearances from Jack Harlow, Major Lazer, Latto, and DJ Snake. While The Guardian gave it three stars out of five, NME gave it four, and Metacritic gave it 75/100, indicating "generally favorable reviews."

It is now the fastest song by an Asian solo artist to achieve this feat. The track, released in July 2023, took the world by storm in no time as it scaled music charts and dominated TikTok.

Just before that, he also became the highest-ranking Korean act on the US Chartmetrics Foreign Artists Chart when he reached No. 23, beating out his own K-pop group, BTS. On the same chart in the UK, he secured No. 26, again making him the only Korean solo artist to do so.
