Katy Perry has officially launched her Lifetimes tour. It is her first major global trek since 2018.

The opening night took place on April 23, 2025, in Mexico City. As fans believe, this tour debut is significant for the artist.

Katy Perry's last full-scale tour, the Witness tour, wrapped up years ago. She has been busy with her Las Vegas Play residency between 2021 and 2023. However, Lifetimes marks a more expansive comeback on the road.

On the other hand, it is also her first tour after the release of her 2024 album 143. Additionally, the recent media buzz around her controversial space flight with Blue Origin adds to the hype.

The Lifetimes tour's setlist features Katy Perry's multiple chart-toppers from albums like Teenage Dream, Prism, and Witness. It also includes relatively newer tracks.

The opening show in Mexico City treated the crowd to a theatrical production, space-inspired visuals, and more.

Perry opened the night with the live debut of "Artificial," a track from 143, as she appeared suspended in the air. From there, she launched into a sequence of high-energy performances: "Chained to the Rhythm," "Teary Eyes," and "Dark Horse."

One arguably standout segment of the debut night was the "Choose Your Own Adventure" portion, where fans could vote in real time on songs from Katy Perry's earlier albums.

On opening night, this resulted in two surprise performances: "Not Like The Movies," performed for the first time since 2012, and "The One That Got Away." These tracks were chosen via a QR-code voting system.
