Fyre Festival 2 is the upcoming sequel to the infamous Fyre Festival, organized by Billy McFarland—the man behind the original disaster that led to his conviction for wire fraud involving $26 million. Scheduled to take place from May 30 to June 2, 2025, the festival is set to be held at Playa FYRE on Isla Mujeres, Quintana Roo, Mexico.
Tickets for Fyre Festival 2 are available via the official website of the festival. Ticket prices are dependent on the category of tickets. Fyre Ignite tickets are priced at $1,400 per person, Fyre Fuego tickets are priced at $5000 per person, Fyre Phoenix tickets are priced at $25,000 for two people, and Prometheus God of Fyre tickets are priced at $1,100,000 for 8 people.
Sold Out is the official resale company of Fyre Festival 2 and Friendly Sky is the official ticketing platform. No lineup for the festival has been announced as of the writing of this article. The festival is being produced by LostNights, the team behind events such as Kaskabal, Peluche, and Day Zero in Mexico.
McFarland, in an exclusive interview with Today on February 23, 2025, announced the new edition of the festival:
"FYRE 2 is real. My dream is finally becoming a reality. FYRE 2 really isn’t about the past, and it’s not really about me. It’s about taking the vision, which is strong. We’re going to have artists across electronic, hip hop, pop and rock. However, it’s not just music. We might have a professional skateboarder do a demonstration..."
McFarland continued, talking about why he trying to host Fyre Festival 2 and admitting he had mismanaged the first edition of the festival:
"I think it’s always a risk. You’re taking a risk because I made a lot of bad decisions and messed up the first festival. Until it’s experienced, there is a risk component to it. Since 2016 Fyre has been the most talked about music festival in the world."
The founder added:
"Obviously, a lot of that has been negative, but I think that most people, once they kind of get under the hood and study the plans and see the team behind Fyre II, they see the upside... And if it’s done well, I think Fyre has a chance to be this annual festival that really takes over the festival industry."
The festival announced its tickets and other details via a post on its official Instagram page on February 24, 2025, with McFarland stating in the post itself:
"I’m sure many people think I’m crazy for doing this again. But I feel I’d be crazy not to do it again. After years of reflection and now thoughtful planning, the new team and I have amazing plans for FYRE 2. The adventure seekers who trust the vision and take the leap will help make history. Thank you to my partners for the second chance."
Fyre Festival 2's proceeds will go towards McFarland's wire fraud charge payment
Part of the proceeds from Fyre Festival 2 will go towards McFarland's wire fraud charge payment, with the founder still owing the $26 million payment. $500,000 from the festival will be the minimum amount set aside for that payment, alongside 10 percent of the profits from the festival.
Fyre Festival was originally organized by McFarland and Ja Rule in 2017, with the festival set to take place at the Great Exuma. The festival was canceled soon after it started, leaving people stranded at the festival premises and resulting in the subsequent controversy, backlash, and the eventual indictment of McFarland.
