Rock band Weezer will still be playing at Coachella as planned despite the arrest of Jillian Lauren Shriner, the bassist, Scott Shriner's wife. Just days after his wife was arrested for attempted murder, Shriner promoted his band's show at Coachella 2025.
After a tumultuous episode in Los Angeles, his wife, author Jillian Lauren Shriner, was shot by police and charged with attempted murder. Scott continued to promote Weezer's forthcoming Coachella concert and issued a quick, positive comment while walking his dogs despite the grave accusations.

According to The Cut, during a stroll with his four dogs around his Eagle Rock neighborhood on Thursday, Shriner said in a brief interview with paparazzi:
"She's alright, thank you for asking... I'll see you at Coachella!"
After the meeting, Shriner reportedly went straight back to his house.
In an Instagram post earlier in the week, Weezer wrote, "A desert surprise see you at @coachella on the Mojave stage next Saturday @ 3:10," to reveal that they will be playing at Coachella's Mojave Stage during the first weekend of the event.
Several acts, including FKA twigs had pulled out from the festival last minute, when Weezer alongside Ed Sheeran were added to the line-up as a surprise.
Shriner and the rest of the band are scheduled to appear at other venues and music festivals, including the Salt Lake City Kilby Block Party, another show in Bridgeport, and a third in Las Vegas.
Coachella will see a line-up of Lady Gaga, Missy Elliot, Benson Boone, and Charli XCX, among others. While Green Day was slated to be the grand finale, Coachella attendees will be in for a treat with a late-night performance by Travis Scott.
Jillian Lauren Shriner's arrest
In the meantime, Jillian's position is still grave. Three suspects escaped on foot close to the Shriners' residence on Tuesday as the Los Angeles Police Department was responding to a hit-and-run incident, according to a police news release that Page Six received.
According to reports, officers found 51-year-old Jillian standing outside with a weapon. Jillian was shot after reportedly pointing the gun at cops and defying several orders to lower it. After retreating inside the house, she returned outside and was taken into custody.

After being charged with attempted murder, Jillian, the New York Times bestselling author of Behold the Monster, was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Jillian had recently had surgery after receiving a cancer diagnosis, which she had made public before the event.
She and Scott have been married since 2005. They have two adopted kids together.
The author was released from custody on the same day as her arrest on a $1 million bail, awaiting trial. Records from the Los Angeles prison indicate that her court appearance is set for April 30.
