The feud between Suge Knight, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg continues as the former and his son have thrown shade at the Missionary album. Suge Knight Jr took to Instagram to address the beef between his father, who is currently serving a 28-year prison sentence, and the trio of Eminem, Dr. Dre, and Snoop Dogg.
Knight’s son called Dr. Dre and Snoop’s recently released album a “flop.” Suge Knight Junior made the statement via Instagram after sharing an excerpt from a Billboard article which read:
“Suge Knight blasts Snoop Dogg, says He’s Destroying Hip-Hop & Death Row’s Credibility."
He captioned it:
“We know it’s true. Been almost 5 years with a Dr Dre album collaboration and it all flopped. #FreeSugeKnight.”
Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre’s Missionary album dropped on December 13, 2024.

The Missionary album marked Snoop and Dre’s first collaboration on an album since 1993’s Doggystyle. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight in August 2024, Dr. Dre talked about the album’s creative process and described it as one of the best of his career:
"This one is gonna show a different level of maturity with his lyrics and with my music. I feel like this is some of the best music I’ve done in my career,” he shared.
The album was released by Death Row Records in December 2024 and features vocal contributions from Hip-Hop heavyweights like Eminem, 50 Cent, and Method Man. The album peaked at number 20 on the US Billboard 200 upon release and topped the UK R&B Albums chart.
It was also number 7 on the US Top R&B/ Hip-Hop Albums chart. Missionary features singles like Gorgeous, Outta Da Blue, Gunz & Smoke, and Another Part of Me. Snoop Dogg addressed the mixed reception of his 20th studio album on Instagram:
"First of all, thank y’all for the support for Missionary. Long time coming," said Snoop. "Love the reception but let me say this: I’ve been watching podcasts and people doing reviews. A couple of them specifically where they started off saying, ‘I wasn’t into this album, I don’t like Snoop Dogg, I wasn’t anticipating this, I don’t care' … Really just listening just to listen. Started off hating."
He added:
"I love the hate and the love. That’s why we do it. We do it because we love what we do. Thank y’all."
Meanwhile, Suge Knight during his interview with The Art of Dialogue from prison, claims that Snoop is damaging the Death Row legacy by being at the helm of affairs. Snoop hasn’t responded to Knight’s recent comments but earlier dismissed the former label boss as being jealous because he no longer owns Death Row Records.
