SZA recently performed at the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota, alongside Kendrick Lamar as part of their Grand National Tour. During the performance, the singer had a small mishap when one of the dancers stumbled during one of the moves. The singer and the dancer quickly recovered, and the rest of the performance went smoothly, but the singer nonetheless faced backlash from the fans and netizens.

Now, the choreographer of SZA has come out and released a statement regarding the mishap and the internet's response to it:

"Correct information alert. SZA & this dancer did this move a million times and never had any issues. In fact, 1, at almost 200 pounds workshopped this move with him AT LEAST 20 times before she ever learned it & have never stumbled. She's nowhere near 200 pounds."

The choreographer continued:

"What actually happened is that his mask which had new alterations right before the show was practically poking his eye out at this VERY moment causing this. I know these insecure kids online theories are more entertaining but there's the actual story. She gave a GREAT show and continued like an absolute pro... moving on kids."

SZA has not responded to the incident or the subsequent backlash against her. Before the choreographer's statement, some netizens were commenting negatively on SZA's figure and weight, while others defended her and pointed out that it was a small incident that the singer recovered from immediately.
