More details on Jennie's appearance at the Jennifer Hudson Show
Jennie's appearance on the Jennifer Hudson Show was met with excitement from the audience. She answered many questions and revealed a lot on the show, but she opted out of sharing any spoilers about BLACKPINK's upcoming tour. Jennie spoke a lot about her newly released album, Ruby. When asked what song from the album she was most excited about and couldn't wait for people to hear, the 29-year-old idol replied.
"I want to say all 15 of them. Some songs are personal; some songs are just amazing to listen to when you're driving or when you are out at a party."
She continued:
"I wanted to create something that was a little bit of everything for my fans to enjoy at every moment so they can't get me out of their heads. So I want to say all fifteen songs. I want everyone to hear all of them and just, you know, enjoy them."
The ExtraL crooner talked about her thoughts on becoming a Pop star.
"I knew I wanted to be in the music industry, but I didn't know what a pop star was like at that time. I would see them on stage and everything looked so glamorous and fantastic. I didn't really understand if I wanted to be that, doing shows on stage, but I knew I wanted to get in there."
She also talked about how her journey as a rapper began.
"It happened actually in quite a funny way. When we were in the trainee days, I was pretty much the only person that knew how to speak English pretty fluently."
She continued:
"They needed someone to speak it out fast and make it work, so I kind of got into it for a funny reason. Then, in the end, I started being like, okay, I get this; let me try and be a rapper for myself and not just cover other people's verses."
A few days ago, The Jennifer Hudson Show released a clip of Jennie showing a sneak peek of some dance moves from the Ruby album. She also revealed that she would have some acting projects in the future, but for now, her focus is mainly on her new album.
