Rapper Bow Wow recently opened up about his strained relationship with Omarion during an interview on Cam Newton’s Funky Friday podcast. Although the two artists have worked together in the past and are currently listed as headliners on the Millennium Tour, Bow Wow confirmed that they are not on speaking terms.

He explained that while he is on good terms with other artists that he has had public disagreements with, like Lil Romeo, Soulja Boy, and Chris Brown, his connection with Omarion is “complicated.” Bow Wow was careful not to use harsh words but explained that there is no real friendship between them right now.

“I don’t want to talk [to him],” Bow Wow said on the podcast. “It’s nothing to talk about, not even in a bad way.”
“It’s just when you lend your hand out and you try to be the bigger person—and try to rap—but you get no response,” he explained. “You go, ‘OK we’ll leave it right here.’ You do your thing, I do my thing, it ain’t no beef.”

Bow Wow acknowledged the tension between him and Omarion but emphasized that he holds no ill will and wants to see his former friend succeed.

“We’ve been through this thing for so long,” said the Like You rapper. “He’s 40 and I’m 38. We don’t have to do that now. We got kids, we got our own lives. I wish you nothing but the best." He went on to add, “The best revenge is time, you don’t even gotta do much.”

Though he stayed vague about what caused the issue, Bow Wow suggested that the silence from Omarion after his efforts to reconnect was enough to step away.

What did Bow Wow say about their past?

Bow Wow and Omarion have worked together for years. They were part of the same music circle and even did a joint album, Face Off, in 2007. They also toured together in the past and were once seen as close friends in the public eye.

In the interview, Bow Wow looked back at their shared history and observed that things change and time passes. “We’ve been through this thing for so long,” he said. “He’s 40 and I’m 38.” He used those words to explain that they are older now and have different priorities.

Both artists are fathers now. Bow Wow said that their current focus should be their families and lives. He added, “We got kids, we got our own lives.” That was part of the reason he didn’t want to continue trying to fix something that wasn’t being returned.

Is the Millennium Tour still happening?

In February, Bow Wow made headlines when he replied to fans online about his current relationship with Omarion. When someone suggested that he should talk to the singer, Bow Wow simply replied, “No I don’t.” He also commented, “What tour?” when asked about the Millennium Tour they’re both supposed to headline.

Those replies raised questions about whether the tour would happen at all. Fans were unsure about how things would work if the headliners were not even speaking. However, there have been no official changes to the tour schedule so far.

Even with the tension, Bow Wow didn’t say he wanted to cancel the tour. He just made it clear that he and Omarion are not working as a team off-stage. He may still perform, but their friendship seems to be over for now.

Bow Wow made it known that his relationship with Omarion has changed. He tried to make peace but didn’t hear back, so he chose to move on. He said there’s no hate but also no reason to talk anymore.

He summed it up by saying, “The best revenge is time, you don’t even gotta do much.” These words show how he feels about letting things be. Bow Wow has chosen to focus on his life, his career, and his family, leaving the past behind.
