Lady Gaga now holds the record for the most monthly listeners by a female artist on Spotify. She ranks third among the most-streamed artists on the platform, ahead of Billie Eilish, who is in fourth place with 107.67 million listeners. She has also surpassed Rihanna, who has 91.37 million monthly listeners, and Taylor Swift, with 87.56 million monthly listeners.
Bruno Mars is at the top with 150.72 million monthly listeners, followed by The Weeknd in second place with 125.85 million. With 123.73 million monthly listeners, Gaga is the only female artist in the top three of Spotify’s monthly listener rankings.
The 14-time Grammy winner also released a song with Bruno Mars, Die With A Smile, which received a Grammy Award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the 67th annual Grammy Awards. The hit song with over one billion streams on Spotify was also nominated for Song of the Year at the event.
The singer released a new song, Abracadabara, which garnered over 94 million streams on Spotify in two weeks.
Fans are excited as Lady Gaga joins Bruno Mars and The Weeknd on Spotify’s top monthly listeners list
Billboard, the American music and entertainment magazine, shared the news on Instagram on February 18 about Lady Gaga currently being the only female artist in Spotify's top three monthly listeners.
The caption of the Billboard post said:
"Lady Gaga has officially surpassed Ariana Grande's record as the female artist with the most monthly listeners in the history of Spotify. At press time, Gaga currently holds 123,736,959 monthly listeners on the app, with only two other artists (Bruno Mars and The Weeknd) garnering more listeners."
