Sabrina Carpenter throws shade at ex Barry Keoghan in his hometown: calls him 'Hard Work'

Sabrina Carpenter is known for her humor and customized Nonsense outros that have made the song a fan favorite over the years. The singer has also previously called out Joshua Bassett, Carpenter's rumored ex, in one of the Nonsense outros.

After dating Barry Keoghan, the Feather singer has indirectly written Nonsense outros for him as well. However, after the breakup rumors, Carpenter has once again brought up Keoghan in her recent show in Dublin.

The Please Please Please singer is known for her fan interactions on the tours. She recently held a concert in Dublin, the hometown of Keoghan. During the audience interaction, the singer said:

"Dublin, it's so lovely to be here. You all look and sound amazing. But my goodness, these Irish boys are hard work"

Fans suspect it to be an indirect shade at Keoghan, an Irish actor. However, like in Sabrina’s other videos and outros, the singer often drops hints in her interactions and songs, keeping fans guessing.

Sabrina Carpenter re-releases Please Please Please music video, but with a twist

Sabrina Carpenter first launched the music video for her song Please Please Please on June 7, 2024, starring her then-boyfriend, Barry Keoghan. In the video, Sabrina played the role of a convict and begged Barry not to hurt her through the line:

"Don't bring me to tears when I just did my makeup so nicely."

The video ends on a happy note, with Sabrina handcuffing Barry and smiling at him. However, in December 2024, fans started guessing the two had parted ways. Many also guessed that Barry had cheated on Sabrina. Although there's no clear evidence showing the statement is true. Keoghan has also deactivated his social account since then, adding to the suspicion.

Sabrina Carpenter released another music video of Please Please Please on Valentine's Day with vocals from her and Dolly Parton.

In the new music video, Carpenter is driving a car throughout the video. By the end, the video features a body with a face covered in her car's trunk, which is similar to that of Barry, considering that in the first music video of Please Please Please, Barry was seen in a white tank top and black pants, and so was the body in the new music video.

Fans soon suspected it was Carpenter's way of telling everyone that it was over between the two. However, the two have not openly talked about their breakup and cheating rumors yet.

Talking about 'Irish Boys' could be another dig at Barry from Carpenter, but Sabrina hasn't commented on it yet.
