Indie rock band Rilo Kiley has officially expanded its 2025 reunion tour. They have added new dates across the East Coast and Midwest.

The band last toured in 2008. For 2025, it initially announced a series of festival appearances and West Coast shows. However, notably, overwhelming fan demand has led to the addition of 11 new dates.

It brings the beloved quartet of Jenny Lewis, Blake Sennett, Pierre de Reeder, and Jason Boesel to cities like New York, Philadelphia, Nashville, and Atlanta this fall.

Alongside the tour expansion, Rilo Kiley has also unveiled plans for their first-ever greatest hits album, That’s How We Choose To Remember It. It is set to release on May 9, 2025, via Saddle Creek. Consequence reports that the upcoming album's tracklist features:

  • Silver Lining
  • Portions For Foxes
  • With Arms Outstretched
  • Dreamworld
  • A Better Son/Daughter
  • The Execution of All Things
  • The Moneymaker
  • I Never
  • Wires and Waves
  • The Frug
  • Does He Love You?

Rilo Kiley took to its X (formerly Twitter) handle to announce the new dates. The post was captioned:

"More dates announced! Sometimes When You’re On You’re Really F**king On Tour in the east coast and midwest! Tickets on sale Friday, February 28 at 10am local time."

Fans were quick to gather in the comment section of the post with their reactions. Below are what some of them had to share:

"I'm happy you're coming to Omaha! Seeing you guys go from a quarter full Sokol Underground to a sold-out Auditorium was amazing. Can't wait!", expressed an X user.
"I just booked a flight for the SLO show and you announced my hometown", shared another.
"I love you and I'll see you again in September", declared a third.
"Please come to Japan", a fan made this request.

More on Rilo Kiley

Rilo Kiley formed in the late 1990s and gained notable traction from fans and enthusiasts in the global indie rock scene. May believe that their breakthrough album was The Execution of All Things (2002).

Later, records like More Adventurous (2004) and Under the Blacklight (2007) brought them wider recognition. However, after their last tour in 2008, the band quietly disbanded. Their frontwoman Jenny Lewis and guitarist Blake Sennett pursued solo projects.

Now, nearly two decades later, the band is reuniting for the 2025 reunion tour.

Rolling Stone reports that Lewis reflected on the reunion, stating:

"It’s going to be wonderful for us, like going back to the purest version of yourself, that early ’20s place where everything is possible. You are in a van and Jason’s got the map, Pierre is behind the wheel, and I’m on the shitty acoustic guitar on the bench seat working out a new song with Blake. I don’t think it’s ever been as good as that, when it was just us against the world."

On the other hand, per Consequence, Pierre De Reeder expressed:

"Planning this reunion over these past months has been like reconnecting with family. We haven’t missed a beat. The stakes are only to have a good time, to revel in this nostalgia. Getting to revisit and celebrate the music from that special time of our lives while experiencing it alongside a lot of people that lived it with us back when, and new folks alike."

Below is what Jenny Lewis had to mention:

"It could not have happened any sooner. It feels like now is the time to share that joy and love with each other and with everyone else."

To complement their reunion, Rilo Kiley is releasing a greatest hits album, That’s How We Choose To Remember It, on May 9. The compilation includes fan favorites like Silver Lining, Portions for Foxes, A Better Son/Daughter, and The Moneymaker.

In addition, the band is reissuing their 2002 album The Execution of All Things in a special Frozen Lake Edition, available on deluxe vinyl formats, including an LP.

Between the tour, the greatest hits album, and the Execution of All Things reissue, this year is shaping up to be a major moment for both the band and their fans.
