They shared the news on their Instagram handle, and their caption read:
“Tourterslide ending board ladder to the bye. We heard you - we will play these final farewell shows this December.”
The caption stated that the tickets will be available “on sale Thursday 17th” at “10am BST.” People can purchase them by visiting the official website of Porridge Radio.
The Brighton band is reportedly splitting. They confirmed the news in January, releasing their final four-track EP called The Machine Starts to Sing through Secretly Canadian in February 2025. Here is what we know.
Porridge Radio announces their split
According to multiple outlets, Porridge Radio announced in January this year that they are breaking up. They released their final EP and a brand-new track called, Don’t Want To Dance on February 21, 2025.
The British band also shared a KEXP Studios session, recorded during their North American tour earlier this year. The performance reportedly featured songs from their latest album, Clouds In The Sky They Will Always Be There For Me and their final release, The Machine Starts To Sing EP. It has been produced by Dom Monks.
According to Rolling Stone UK, frontwoman and vocalist Dana Margolin said in a statement shared on the band’s official X (formerly Twitter) account:
“This is the last new music from Porridge Radio and marks the end of the band. The songs on this EP are an important part of Clouds In The Sky They Will Always Be There For Me, and mean a lot to us. We are excited for you to hear them. This band has been our life, we’re family now. These tours will be our last. Thanks so much for listening. With love, Dana, Georgie, Sam and Dan.”
According to a report in NME, Porridge Radio was formed in Brighton in 2015. The band was created by Dana Margolin. In 2019, the band was signed by the US indie label Secretly Canadian.
