According to a report in Rolling Stones, after the singer’s Lollapalooza performance, SZA shared a clip from the event, writing over Roan’s post through her Instagram stories,

“She makes me wanna keep making new music n art forever.”

Earlier, the Grammy-award winner gushed about Roan’s singing in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. When asked, “What is your go-to song to bump in the car?” She replied that it is Roan’s, according to an X account (@chappellroanPH) which shared the clip in January 2025.

“Chappell Roan like stole my brain... she just owns it, she’s just like in there and dancing, she’s like popping out of an apple, she’s doing all kinds of stuff in there.”

But Roan isn’t the only one who has won her heart. A report in Billboard indicated that during an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, she discussed Taylor Swift posing with her on the red carpet at the Grammys 2025 and the wave of excitement she felt during that moment.

“It’s so interesting to me. Every time she walks up to me or approaches me, I’m just like, ‘All right, this is happening, because that’s fully Taylor Swift,’ she said.

She added that she would love to write for her and adores her storytelling.

“I think I mentioned that I would love to write with her and build some things together. I love her storytelling. She was open to it. I think she’s awesome. She’s so bossed up.”

That’s not all, in the same interview, she even named Roan among her favorite singer-songwriters. “There’s a lot of deep storytelling that really reflects their human experience,” she said while referring to Roan and other artists, including Gracie Abrams, Olivia Rodrigo, Taylor Swift, and several others.
