Young Thug is officially making his way back to the stage. It is expected to be a significant moment in his career after a legal battle.

Jeffery Lamar Williams II, famously known as Young Thug, will headline a Belgian music festival, Les Ardentes, on July 5, 2025. This will be his first live performance since his arrest in 2022 and his first appearance at Les Ardentes since 2017.

The festival’s organizers confirmed the news via an Instagram post. They called it “history.” However, despite the confirmation, Young Thug has remained silent about the announcement. It should also be noted that no U.S. tour dates have been scheduled yet.

Les Ardentes organizers took to their official Instagram handle and shared,

"HISTORY. YOUNG THUG IS BACK TO HEADLINE LES ARDENTES ! 5TH JULY AT LES ARDENTES. TICKETS ON SALE THIS WEDNESDAY !!"

Fans were quick to gather in the comment section of the post to share their thoughts over the comeback of Young Thug after a long hiatus. Below are what some of them had to share:

"I don't know if you can imagine the craziness for real? Thugger is back", declared an Instagram user.
"He's gonna be stuck at the airport and it's cancelled... ready to bet", predicted another.
"I'm shocked", a third expressed.

On the other hand, thejasminebrand took to Instagram to share the news of Young Thug being the headliner for Les Ardentes music festival. The post read,

"The Atlanta rapper is set to headline the Les Ardentes music festival in Belgium on July 5. This marks his first performance since his 2022 arrest in connection to the YSL RICO case."

Shedding some light on the songs the artist is going to perform, it added,

"Fans are ecstatic as Thug is ready to perform new tracks from his album “BUSINESS IS BUSINESS,” released while he was incarcerated, featuring collaborations with Drake, Lil Uzi Vert, and Nicki Minaj. There’s even speculation that we might hear unreleased music, with a potential collaborative album in the works with Lil Baby and Future."

Young Thug's return to live music comes amid ongoing legal troubles.

He is currently associated in a lawsuit with entertainment company AEG, which claims he breached a 2017 agreement by failing to repay a $5.3 million advance, Billboard reports.

It is also reported that the company mentioned in its 2020 filing,

"Such copyrights constituted collateral that was subject to the security agreement. AEG has the right, pursuant to [agreement], to require that [Thug’s publishing company] and Mr. Williams assemble such [copyrights] and turn them over to AEG."

The lawsuit alleges that Young Thug offered up copyrights to his music as collateral, and AEG is now trying to claim those rights. Additionally, he is fighting the government over possessions seized during his arrest, including luxury cars and jewelry.
