Tekashi 6ix9ine is finally free from house arrest, and he chooses to celebrate the occasion by throwing a party.
The rapper took to Instagram to share a clip of himself sitting alongside two women, with music blaring in the background. One of the women can be seen cutting off his ankle monitor, moments before one of them jumps into the pool and he joins them himself. He captioned his video:
"I’m freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee 🤘"
The rapper, legally known as Daniel Hernandez, pleaded guilty just this past November in New York to a month-and-a-half in prison for five violations of his supervised release, including traveling without permission to Las Vegas and Sarasota, Florida, twice failing drug test, and testing positive for methamphetamines.
At the time, U.S. District Court Judge Paul Engelmayer said that his "breach of the court's trust is profound," noting that "Five violations say to me that you believe the rules don't apply to you." He asked the rapper if he believed that "because you're a famous rapper, Tekashi 6ix9ine?"
While the latter accepted his violations, he told the judge he didn't "want to go back in the box." After he served his time behind bars, he was placed on house arrest, and just today, he revealed that he is now "free."
Tekashi 6ix9ine gets slammed online moments after he breaks free of house arrest: Here's why
Tekashi 6ix9ine is already generating buzz online for seemingly enjoying himself with a woman in the video who isn't his wife, Hallel Génesis. In his first video uploaded since his release, he can be seen putting his arm around the unknown woman, prompting fans to take shots at his and Génesis' relationship.
Fans have since begun accusing him of being a philanderer, though the rapper took to social media to dispel all such notions. He penned in the comments section:
"My wife knows that I went out to film a video last night. The federal agents took off my ankle monitor today, and I filmed a video with my friends in NY at the club."
As reported by TMZ on March 13, the rapper also claims that he did nothing wrong for the cops to show up at his place and raid his house, noting that he was handcuffed from 9 AM to 3 PM. He claims that law enforcement took DNA samples from him and left his house in a mess as they searched for something, noting that they confiscated guns and drugs to check if his DNA was on them.
The Palm Beach Sheriff's Office told TMZ at the time that the search warrant was executed by the federal U.S. Probation officers as well as the Palm Beach Sheriff's Office Narcotics Investigators. All items confiscated from Tekashi 6ix9ine's Florida home were part of a "probation" check and were taken in for further testing.
Per TMZ, the rapper was only handcuffed at the time for officer safety, and he was not arrested because there was no probable cause.
