Brooks & Dunn lead singer, Ronnie Dunn walked off the stage during an encore performance of the band's 1991 hit song, Boot Scootin' Boogie on April 3's concert at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

The incident was brought to light by country fans after Radio host, Matt Malone, shared a video of Dunn on TikTok with the caption:

"Fell better, Ronnie!!! Thanks for giving us all you could."

In the video, Dunn stops singing suddenly before asking the audience to "sing it if you know it", he then shakes his head to a bandmate allegedly gesturing that he was no longer able to perform, and walks away from the mic.

Dunn walked to the front of the stage to bid farewell to his fans before exiting the stage. In another TikTok video, he can be seen sitting down at the stage risers for some moments during the concert.

More about Brooks & Dunn lead singer Ronnie Dunn's health

The recent incident of April 3's Brooks & Dunn concert comes after lead singer Ronnie Dunn was fighting through strep throat and COVID just two weeks ago. In a March 22 show at NRG Stadium in Hoston, Ronnie as per Houston Press joked:

"We call it strovid...if you hear the wrong notes tonight, we'll blame it on that. Any other time it's just me."

Ronnie had also spoken about his health in a March 19 Instagram post, where he opened up about battling the flu:

"Had to fight through the last two shows (the flu and strep aren't a singer's friend...) Crowds have been terrific and thanks to the best band and crew in the business we've powered through it...Spending a couple of days to recoup in Austin before circling back through Lubbock and on to @rodeohuston."

The band has yet to address the incident. Brooks & Dunn have kicked off their Neon Moon Tour in Lubbock, Texas on March 13, and are scheduled to perform next on April 24 in Iowa before stopping in Missouri, Kentucky, Texas, and more.

Recently Brooks & Dunn had to schedule their March 13 concert at Texas Tech University to March 20 after an explosion in a tunnel, which led to power outages and evacuations on the campus, as per local media reports.

The singer also had a knee-replacement surgery in December 2024, after a skiing accident. However, Ronnie seemed to recover from the accident, and the pair continued with their shows.
