Kendrick Lamar is making waves with GNX, seeing as the track is now the #1 best-selling album of 2025 in the US by total units.
The Not Like Us artist has been making headlines in the music industry, first with his Super Bowl performance this year, then with his Grammy wins, and now with his album GNX dominating the charts.
The album scaled to the dominating position on the Billboard 200 just last month following his Super Bowl halftime show on February 9. Two of his older albums, 2017's DAMN and 2012’s good kid, have also returned to the top 10.
Droves are flocking to X to celebrate the artist, with many referring to him as "GOAT." Here's what one user penned, for instance:
"When you’re the GOAT, the numbers follow."
Here's how the rest of X is reacting:
"GNX is a certified classic. There, I said it," one fan penned.
"who still streams this album bruh," another naysayer probed.
"Nobody stream this shii," someone else echoed.
"'GNX' will be in the top for a lot longer!" yet another exclaimed.
The celebration didn't end there:
"K.Dot keeps raising the bar with lyrical depth, raw energy, and unmatched storytelling," someone stated.
"bruh can't stop winning.... Despite new releases," another chimed in.
"That’s insane it’s still beating Drake," one more pointed out.
"one of the rare instant classics imo. short n sweet, paying homage to your land, flexing insane lyrical depth and soul in some tracks…and as a victory lap after claiming the throne that was always his in the first place. he had just had to show THAT side," yet another joined the discourse.
Scores online were visibly happy for Kendrick Lamar, and while a handful of them did criticize him, claiming that no one was listening to the album at all, a large number did refer to him as "GOAT."
