When will Montreux Jazz Festival take place? J Balvin, Benson Boone, Shaboozey, and more set to perform at the event

The 2025 Montreux Jazz Festival has revealed its star-studded lineup for its 59th edition on Thursday, April 10, and prolific artists are expected to perform.

Neil Young and the Chrome Hearts, Noah Kahan, J Balvin, Benson Boone, Shaboozey, and Diana Ross are slated to perform, among others. The event will take place from July 4-19 alongside the shores of Lake Geneva. Chaka Khan is expected to open the night with a tribute to the late Quincy Jones (“To Quincy With Love”), though it will also mark 50 years of making music for him.

“I feel honored to be returning to open the Montreux Jazz Festival this year, joining so many world class artists,” Khan said in a statement. “I’m equally proud to be bringing some special guests with me, to pay musical tribute to my friend Quincy Jones; one of the best friends that music and Montreux ever had.”

Everything you need to know about the 2025 Montreux Jazz Festival:

While Chaka Khan will take over the first day of the 2025 Montreux Jazz Festival on July 4, Sienna Spiro and James Blake will join him. The following day, Argentinian rapper Trueno and Colombian hitmaker J Balvin will take to the stage, followed by a set list from Brazilian singer/songwriters Anavitória and Seu Jorge.

On July 6, Neil Young and The Chrome Hearts will deliver their performance, followed by Brandi Carlile. July 7 will see Noah Kahan, Samara Joy, and Dianne Reeves, while July 8 will have London Grammar and Rüfüs Du Sol perform. Leon Thomas and Jorja Smith will join them later on.

Other acts expected to perform this summer include: Brandi Carlile, Royel Otis, Samara Joy, Dianne Reeves, London Grammar, Rüfüs Du Sol, Leon Thomas, Jorja Smith, Lionel Richie, Benson Boone, Portishead singer and solo artist Beth Gibbons, Shaboozey, Yseult, Jamie XX, Leon Bridges, Pulp, Bloc Party, FKA Twigs, Sam Fender, Finneas, The Black Keys, Santana, Sigrid and many more.

In an official statement on Instagram, representatives of the Montreux Jazz Festival said:

"From 4 to 19 July 2025, the MJF will resound one last time in the magical setting of the Lake Stage and the intimate atmosphere of the Casino! Featuring absolute legends and major figures on the current scene, the 59th edition brings together generations and musical genres in the purest Festival spirit."

As reported by Billboard, at the time of writing, tickets have yet to go on sale, though they will be on sale starting tomorrow, April 11, at noon CET. Those interested in going will have to keep in mind that each order has a maximum purchase cap of four tickets per concert and a minimum of 10 tickets total.
