More details on Trace Adkins' What Color’s Your Wild song
What Color’s Your Wild was written by Casey Beathard, and Monty Criswell. Bart Butler has produced the song. The track follows the story of a man in love as he strives to know more about his romantic interest’s life and the reason why she acts the way she does.
The second verse reads:
"Is it lightning striking, storm chaser gray/ Or dancing in a purple rain/ Is it that neon nine-ball pool hall/ Down off of third and main/ Are you hiding some guns and roses/ Or maybe a butterfly on your skin/ When you kiss me like that/ Are you waving the whitе flag/ And letting me in.”
The accompanying music video of the track dropped on CMT Music, the Paramount Times Square Billboard, and CMT Equal Play on March 5, 2025. Trace Adkins' debut performance of the love ballad follows his recent announcement of the What Color’s Your Wild Tour in the coming weeks.
Trace Adkins, country singer and actor, is recognized for his distinct singing voice and boasts more than ten studio albums under his belt. His debut project was the Dreamin’ Out Loud album, which has been certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.
Trace Adkins' first single, There’s a Girl in Texas, peaked in the top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The 63-year-old singer, according to his website, has stated that he loves the trajectory of his career and enjoys what he is doing:
“I love where I’m at, I really do. I’ve had the perfect career, and I don’t know where my place is gonna be when the history of what I did is written. But 90 percent of the time, I said what I wanted to say and stuck to my guns, and did what I wanted to do. ... And I’m gonna go out the way I wanna go out.”
The What Color’s Your Wild Tour is scheduled to begin on March 29, 2025, at the Du Quoin in Illinois.
