On March 31, 2025, South Korean media outlet Naver shared HYBE’s CEO's latest statement on the BTS comeback. The reunion of the Dynamite group is one of the most anticipated events of 2025, particularly for K-pop fans. Currently, five members of the septet are fulfilling their military obligations. Therefore, HYBE’s CEO, Lee Jae-sang, opened up about the boy band’s future plans following their reunion.
Lee Jae-sang stated that the group would take its time to prepare for its return. He also disclosed that the company is in talks with top-tier composers for the band’s next projects.
"BTS members will return after completing their military service and they will need time to prepare. We are preparing by discussing with top-tier composers, but the artists need to think carefully and prepare, Usually, we work on a song, release an album, and then go on a tour, but since BTS has already risen to become top global artists, we are continuing to discuss their vision and next," HYBE CEO stated.
Fans showed their support for the group with their numerous comments flooding social media. One user on X wrote:
“Yup they will need time to perfect things. I’m all for not rushing. We can wait a little more for perfection”
Internet gave mixed reactions to HYBE’s CEO’s statement on BTS comeback
Many other responses from the boy band’s followers were seen online. While some said they believed the plan was already prepared for the group’s return, others agreed with HYBE’s CEO.
“so no official plans are done ? i really thought everything was already planned anyway i just hope they do it at their own pace,” a fan commented.
“i really hope and pray they break from the expectation of being music making factories & instead make music on their own pace. we’ll wait months years and even decades if that’s what it takes. i hope they know that as much as we miss them and their music, there is zero pressure,” another fan st ated.
“I can see a jan-march album and summer tour 2026,” a fan wrote.
Some anticipated the group’s new album to be released sometime between January-March 2026, while others hoped the group to drop at least one song in the second half of 2025 after their reunion in June.
“Not surprising. I think we all knew the album & tour werent coming until 2026. So maybe people can relax and be happy for a possible jk solo tour in q3/q4 of 2025,” an admirer stated.
“I honestly hope if they’re releasing something this year for it to be between aug-oct before the Xmas season & before all the yearly charts refresh,,, maybe only singles this year but I lowkey hope they leave the album for next spring with the tour following,” another fan commented.
“excited for this new era i hope they take all the time they need,” a fan wrote.
