Sunny, a longtime member of Girls' Generation (SNSD), has officially joined A20 Entertainment. It is a newly launched label founded by SM Entertainment's former executive producer, Lee Soo-man.
The news was confirmed by A20 on April 9, 2025. The new move has generated significant buzz online. A video, that has been shared recently by A20, revealed Sunny in a producer role at the company’s summer training camp in the United States.
Reports suggest that she will be overseeing the training and development of the company's upcoming idol groups. She will be guiding them in performance and mental well-being.
Sunny debuted in 2007 with Girls' Generation. She spent 16 years under SM Entertainment before exiting the company in August 2023. The same year, Lee Soo-man also officially stepped away from SM Entertainment.
Allkpop reports that in a statement, A20 Entertainment mentioned:
"Sunny recently signed a contract with A20 Entertainment. She is currently being trained as a producer under Yoo Young Jin. She is also in charge of many tasks at A20, such as designing the training regiment at A20 and overseeing the mental health of the trainees."

"As shown in her recent behind-the-scenes appearance, she participates as a director in many other aspects of an idol group's production including content production, styling, and choreography."
A YouTube video was posted by A20 on April 7, 2025, which was titled A20 Summer Training Camp 2024 Highlights. It featured Sunny directing trainees in a recording studio in the United States. She was sitting behind the console and giving advice.
