"This opinion is fully valid" — Internet reacts as Kanye West reveals a list of 12 Rap Kings in the industry; leaves out Kendrick

Kanye West seems to be in the mood to provoke Kendrick Lamar. He has named 12 Rap Kings in the industry, but Kendrick is not on the list. Interestingly, Kanye, who prefers to be called Ye now, included Kendrick's bête noire Drake as well as "Me" in the now-deleted post that he had shared on March 21, 2025.

The list made the internet explode with mixed reactions. While some agreed with Ye's list saying it was fully valid, others diagreed.

Kanye's now-deleted list of 12 rappers who are, according to him, are Rap Kings in the industry, came amidst his ongoing tirade on social media against Playboi Carti, his ex-wife Kim Kardashian and Kendrick Lamar.

While the list had some of the biggest names in the hip-hop industry, what stumped many was the fact that Ye chose to omit a very impactful artist — Kendrick Lamar. Incidentally, the list came after Ye's recent comment on Kendrick: "I DIDN’T NEED TO HEAR HIM." Ye's comment was in reference to Kendrick featuring on Playboi Carti's song, GOOD CREDIT, in his latest album, I Am Music.

He followed the list with a passive-aggressive: Am I missing any?

On not including Kendrick, Ye wrote:

Kanye continued:

Internet React's to Kanye's list

Although Ye deleted the list, the internet has been in an uproar over his choices. While some agree with the Gold Digger singer, others can't help but negate his opinions.

"No one would have included Kendrick before the whole Drake beef, that’s a fact," one user said.

while another expressed: " Ye really woke up and chose violence today but that list actually kinda valid tho"

A Kendrick fan commented: "him making a list to exclude kendrick just shows that kendrick is the GOAT and he's nothing more than a nazi, stop giving him a platform."

People on the internet also went ahead and shared their opinions on who should have made the list and who shouldn't have.

"Eminem is TOO LIGHT to be on this list ? Can we make another one with Vanilla Ice and put him on that one?" a netizen said.

"I would throw Cube in there," another claimed.

There has been no comment from Kendrick's side.
