Kanye West, popularly known as Ye, has once again found himself at the center of controversy after being temporarily banned from X (formerly Twitter). The ban reportedly came amid Ye’s attempt to break the record for the highest number of posts on the platform within a single day.

Dave Blunts has brought this situation to light, showing screenshots of direct messages shared by Ye. Through these messages, Blunts has also evinced frustration on Ye's part. In one of the messages, Ye downplayed the importance of his album in comparison to his social media presence. Expressing his frustration, he wrote, “Getting banned from Twitter is worse than being in China trying to load p*** with no VPN. The screenshot read:

"This is more important than the album. We’re like Ye and Silent Bob. Getting banned from twitter is worse than being in China trying to load p*** with no VPN. I’ll just start spamming you with my tweet ideas."

"thank you David Blunts please post more," another commented.
"Dave you gotta be tweeting like Ye be tweeting," one wrote.

Kanye West record attempt

Ye had been posting continuously on X to set a world record for the most tweets in a day. He had publicly declared his goal on April 10, announcing his plan to flood the platform with posts. While many of his updates were mundane or humorous, some were highly controversial. Among them were rumors about some big stars like Justin Bieber, Harry Styles, and Taylor Swift.

His posting spree seemingly caught the attention of X moderators, leading to his temporary suspension. Following the ban, he turned to Dave Blunts, who continued to post about the incident. Blunts, who has positioned himself as Ye’s unofficial spokesperson, humorously claimed, “Bro got banned off Twitter, now I’m his Twitter.

Kanye West’s history with social media bans

This isn't the first time Kanye West has been banned from the platform. His account was previously banned in December 2022 after he posted offensive tweets that violated X’s policies against incitement to violence.

Before that, in October of 2022, both Twitter and Instagram had also locked him out of his accounts for very similar reasons. Though his account was reinstated after nearly eight months, Ye remained relatively inactive on X until this latest attempt at breaking the posting record.

As of writing this article, Kanye West's X account has all his content posted by him. His last post is about funerals. He mentioned that funerals should be a place where people could talk as long as they want but also where people could leave when they want.
