Houston-based rappers Maxo Kream and D Flowers were collaborators on the former’s 2018 song, Go. However, the two recently went viral for their physical altercation, which, social media channels assumed was for settling differences.

On March 28, 2025, the X account “My Mixtapez” shared a video of the altercation. The video has over a thousand reactions from netizens, and one of them wrote:

“The fact that they both made videos saying they won after.”

Many X users were content to know that the altercation did not turn ugly, while others thought Maxo Kream and D Flowers would now be best friends.

“Now they finna be best friends,” a social media user suggested.
“Neither one of these dudes throwing good hands,” an X user observed.
“I don’t see the differences being settled if they both claiming they won…glad nobody got shot but is the bar that low for our community where we rather fight than talk like men???” an online commentator shared.

Netizens appreciated the rappers for settling the differences, while others said it reflected “old school vibes.”

“I don’t care who won they both won in my eyes they both won cuz they handle they differences and both men went home to they family that SAME NIGHT AMEN!” a netizen reacted.
“Rather see rappers handle it like this or on the mic instead of bullets. Gotta respect it,” an internet user opined.
“Respect the fact they both showed up, and left the beef there,” another X user wrote.
“Maxo Kream and D Flowers duking it out to squash the beef—old-school vibes!” an online user noted.

Maxo Kream and D Flowers shared posts after the incident

As seen in the video, Maxo Kream and D Flowers fought with each other while others stood as spectators. At one point, one person was heard saying, “Take that ring off, bro,” while another added, “Let him go! Let him go!” However, it’s unclear to which rapper these instructions were aimed.

The exact reason for the altercation is unclear to many. According to Hypefresh, netizens referred to it as "shooting the fade," a slang term for a one-on-one fistfight used to settle a dispute. D Flowers shared the video of the fight on Instagram, writing:

“All I Hear Is Dat Pound to Dat Dude toppery Before he Grab A Scrapk.”

The post continued:

“F*c Dat All I see is a Peon grabbin n Tryna punch behind da Top Hat while We wrapped Up .. Boy Having a HATEFUL Old Potna a Turn ya Uppery.”

After the incident, Maxo Kream posted a video of himself speaking from a car. He talked about getting into fights and claimed he was still out in public. He explained that the conflict started because someone tried to be with his child’s mother but failed.

Maxo Kream acknowledged that getting involved with someone’s ex might not have been the right move, but justified it by comparing it to a failed attempt at retaliation. He also mentioned his wealth and ownership of a Lamborghini.
