BTS' Jungkook’s first independent record GOLDEN once again came into spotlight after it emerged as the biggest album by Asian act on European Apple Music and iTunes charts. Jungkook’s solo album came out in November 2023 before he left for his mandatory military service.

Fans of Jeon Jungkook were delighted to see another success of the idol’s first solo album. As a result, his followers swamped the internet with their love and praises for the 3D singer and his album. One user on X commented:

“CONGRATULATIONS JUNGKOOK GLOBAL HITMAKER JUNGKOOK THATS MAIN POP BOY YALL and this is the reason why some fake "armys" seem to be scared of Jungkook and his solo tour or solo songs. Btw both albums amazing af, like they say, bts vs bts hehe”

Fans lauded BTS' Jungkook for his album’s new mark

Several fans congratulated BTS' Jungkook for his album’s recent accomplishment. While some said he is a global hitmaker, others praised his work as amazing.

“Congratulations Jungkookie!!! Can't wait for your comeback and SOLO WORLD TOUR!! Love you so much!!,” wrote a fan.
“That's JK for you... Jungkook is really on another level!,” wrote another fan.
“CONGRATULATIONS, JUNGKOOK!!! Anyone here who thinks armys find JK's accomplishments a threat to BTS is downright ridiculous. BTS & Army celebrate every member's achievements w/a full heart, joy, pride & w/o envy. The success of one is the success of the team. KUDOS, Jungkookie!,” commented a fan.

Some referred to him as an absolute legend, while others were proud of Jk’s new feat.

“Congratulation JK We are very proud of you. You deserved it and we love you,” another fan wrote.

BTS' Jungkook’s GOLDEN came out in November 2023

Jeon Jungkook, who is currently enlisted in military, dropped his album on November 3, 2023. The album was a compilation of

On April 17, 2025, @WORLDMUSICAWARD announced that GOLDEN became the best-selling album by a K-pop solo artist in South Korea. The singer's inaugural solo album achieved this milestone by selling over 2.9 million copies in Korea.

At the time of writing, BTS' Jungkook is carrying out his compulsory military service in South Korea. He kicked off his duty in December 2023 and will wrap up in June 2025.


Besides Jungkook, other members of BTS will also finish their respective military terms by June 2025, including V, SUGA, RM, and Jimin. Only J-hope and Jin have completed their compulsory army service so far.
