“That really my brother, bruh”: Tory Lanez thanks Chris Brown in latest album ‘Peterson’ for paying his legal fees

Tory Lanez has just released a new album, PETERSON. This was recorded entirely from prison. In this new song, which is very personal to him, he opens up about his struggles, his legal battle and the people who were there by his side during tough times.

One of the biggest revelations in the album is his gratitude towards Chris Brown who helped him financially by paying his legal fees when he did not have much money and was in a tough spot.

In the song T.D.F (feat. DSTNY) x LA County Jail, Tory Lanez raps about being in a bad situation back in California with no money or support. He said that Chris Brown was the only one who came forward to help him.

"Where was you n***as when I was in Cali f***ed up with no covers to bundle up? / Only real n***a that helped me was Chris Brown, that really my brother, bruh."

In his other song, Free Tory, he shared hoe none of his other celebrity friends showed up to help him and completely ignored him when he needed money.

"I was f***ed up. And my lawyer wanted over, like, a quarter million to represent me for the appeal. So, you know, I start hollering at all my rap friends, my celebrity friends, and nobody was there. N***as treating me like I was dead."

Apparently, only Chris Brown helped him, which was unexpected.

Tory Lanez, Megan Thee Stallion & The Legal Battle

Tory Lanez is under legal trouble and is currently serving 10 years of prison sentence for shooting Megan Thee Stallion back in 2020. It all happened after a party in the Hollywood Hills and this led to a publicized court case. Megan reported that he shot her in the foot.

While Tory maintained his innocence throughout the trial, he was sentenced in 2023 and his appeal for reduced sentence is still pending.

The case still remains a hot topic in the music industry as Megan till date talks about it.
