Thai rapper and singer, Lisa, aka Lalisa Manobal, has reportedly taken over Cardi B as the eighth most-streamed female rapper on Spotify this year. The news was shared by X accounts “Pop Core” and “Lisa Charts.” The latter mentioned that Manobal presently has 237 million streams while Cardi B stands with 236 million.
Social media users appeared excited at the news while others hailed the two artists as “queens.” Sharing their joy, one X user commented:

In 2024, Cardi B reached over a billion streams on Spotify for multiple songs. To mark the achievement, the platform honored her in a Hollywood studio with silver plaques for each track that hit the milestone. These include her 2018 hits Girls Like You and I Like It, 2019's Taki Taki, and the 2020 chart-topping song WAP.
Lisa’s dropping sales and accidental leak of Alter Ego
According to a report by Forbes, Manobal’s new song, Born Again, featuring Doja Cat and Raye, was released on February 6, 2025, before the start of a new tracking week. Fans rushed to buy the track, but this early release timing affected its performance on some Billboard charts.
The song debuted on seven U.S. charts, including one it had already appeared on the previous week. However, it did not make it onto the Digital Song Sales chart, as it didn’t sell enough copies during the last tracking period.
Despite this, sales increased significantly, jumping from around 400 purchases in the first few hours to nearly 1,500 in the most recent tracking period. Throughout her solo career, she has had five songs on the Digital Song Sales chart, with three reaching the top 10. Her highest-charting solo track, Lalisa, peaked at No. 6 in 2021.
Her upcoming album Ater Ego was reportedly leaked recently through unauthorised sources. During a live broadcast on February 25, 2025, Manobal shared about the upcoming album when she was caught off guard by a comment saying the album had been leaked. Initially, she didn’t believe it, reacting with shock and confusion.
