Following their rebrand from NewJeans to NJZ, the K-pop girl group has launched new TiKTok, YouTube, and X accounts. The group released a new brand logo on February 27, 2025, on Instagram.

The brand’s new emblem appears as a cat in cake form, with “N and J” serving as the eyes. The other parts of the face are designed using icing. The links to their social media handles were also shared via IG stories.

With the new brand logo and social media accounts, the group, consisting of Minji, Danielle, Hanni, Hyein, and Haerin, remains on a course to rebrand themselves.

More details on NJZ’s rebranding amid legal disputes with music label

NJZ’s new social media presence has been condemned by its former label, ADOR. The music company released a statement invalidating their new social media handles and describing their actions as a breach of their previous contracts with ADOR:

"The position remains that the exclusive contract is valid, and we are awaiting a legal judgment on this. NewJeans has official SNS, YouTube, and TikTok accounts for communication with fans, and all other accounts were opened without prior consultation under the exclusive contract."

The statement continued:

"Posting content not through an official account or engaging in entertainment activities is a violation of the exclusive contract and can cause confusion among fans and advertisers, so we ask you to refrain from doing so."

NJZ, formerly known as NewJeans, decided to cut all ties with their label ADOR after their demands to reinstate Min Hee-jin as CEO of ADOR, weren’t met. The group also alleged mismanagement and abuse. ADOR subsequently sued the girl group for breach of contract and sought an injunction to stop them from working on projects outside the scope of their contract. The next hearing of the cases against NJZ will be held on April 3 and March 7, 2025, respectively.

Meanwhile, the group is scheduled for its first performance under their new moniker at ComplexCon Hong Kong on March 23, 2025.
