SM Entertainment has launched its latest girl group, Hearts2Hearts. The eight-member ensemble debuted on February 24, 2025, with their single The Chase.
This release marks the agency’s first multi-member girl group since Girls’ Generation’s debut, which was nearly two decades ago. The new group is composed of Jiwoo, Carmen, Yuha, Stella, Juun, A-na, Ian, and Ye-on.
Their debut comes at a time when multiple other new girl groups are emerging. Hearts2Hearts is expected to come with SM Entertainment’s strong production expertise and a blend of international talent.
Hearts2Hearts' debut single album features two tracks: the title song The Chase and the B-side Butterflies. The group’s newly announced fandom has been named “2SU” (pronounced “ha-chu”). Take a look at the music video of newly released The Chase below:

SM Entertainment has contributed to the K-pop landscape with groups like S.E.S., f(x), Red Velvet, and aespa. With Hearts2Hearts, the company introduces a new approach as it incorporates international influences in its lineup.
One of the group members is Carmen, who is the first Indonesian artist to debut under SM Entertainment. Born Nyoman Ayu Carmenita in Bali, Indonesia, she gained notable attention from enthusiasts mainly for her vocal and piano skills.
Her journey to debut began in 2022 when she auditioned with Daniel Caesar’s Best Part. Per Pinkvilla, in a press conference at Seoul's YES24 Live Hall Carmen shared how Girls’ Generation’s The Boys inspired her to pursue K-pop, stating,
"I thought they were so cool and wanted to be like them."

"I'm already thrilled to debut as Hearts2Hearts, but doing so in SM's 30th anniversary year makes it even more meaningful. Just as our senior artists and staff have supported us, we'll work hard to become the future of SM.", said Ian.
"I’m grateful for the opportunity," A-na said. "Watching senior artists perform on stage helped me dream of this moment, and I hope to grow through experience, even if I still have a lot to learn.", noted A-na.
With SM Entertainment celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, the launch of Hearts2Hearts marks a significant milestone.
