BTS' Jungkook recently garnered the attention of his fans after he emerged as the first and only K-pop soloist to spend 100 weeks on the Spotify Weekly Top Artists Global Chart. As of this writing, the Standing Next To You vocalist is carrying out his compulsory military service in South Korea.
Even though Jungkook is serving his term in the military, he has been constantly breaking records with his solo album GOLDEN. JK’s album has witnessed chart-topping success ever since its release in November 2023. Therefore, his fans were delighted with his latest milestone. One user on X congratulated BTS' Jungkook and dubbed him a record breaker:

The GOLDEN album turned out to be the best-selling K-pop soloist in South Korea, according to @WORLDMUSICAWARD. With over 2.9 million copies sold in Korea, the debut solo album by the BTS maknae achieved this milestone.
Members of BTS are now fulfilling their military duty, including Jungkook. On December 20, 2023, he and his bandmate Jimin began their obligatory duties. In June 2025, they are expected to be discharged at the same time. Other enlisted members, namely SUGA, RM, and V, are also likely to be discharged from the military in June this year.
