Controversial rapper Kanye West is in the news again for going on a long rant on X. In his latest post on X on March 18, West criticized his fellow rappers in his take on the music industry.

One of the most celebrated figures in the hip-hop and rap industries and a multiple Grammy Award-winning artist, West has often shared his controversial views and opinions on social media as well as during interviews. West’s commentary, as well as his frequent suspensions from various social media platforms, has garnered a significant amount of media attention over the years.

While commenting on his contributions to the music industry on March 18, West wrote:

“NOBODY GET A PASS I WAS A PART OF SO MANY OF THESE N——S SUCCESS AND A LOT OF N——S LET THE J—S CONTROL THEM PUSHA TALKING ABOUT HE DONT AGREE WITH MY POLITICAL OPINIONS BRO I HATE ALL THESE N——S THATBIVE SAT AND CHOPPED SOMGS FOR TY AINT HAVE TO USE THE TERM HATE SPEECH EVERY N——S IN THE INDUSTRY IS A SL—E TO THIS F——T A— J——H INDUSTRY EVERRRYYYYY ONE DO YOUR F——-G D—S SONGS OR PULL UP”

West makes a reference to one of his collaborators, Ty Dolla $ign, in the post. According to Vice, Ty Dolla $ign had indirectly responded to Kanye West’s rants when he took to Instagram Stories in February 2025 to clarify his position. At the time, Ty had written:

“I do not condone ANY form of hate speech towards ANYBODY”

While Vice admitted that Ty had not pointed toward anyone in particular, the news outlet explained that Ty’s comment came in the wake of West’s anti-Semitic rants on X.

Kanye West criticized for anti-semitic comments

Kanye West has received a lot of backlash for his anti-Semitic comments on social media. Vice reported on a tirade of anti-Semitic comments by West on X in February.

In the same month, CBS News reported that West had listed a T-shirt bearing the swastika symbol, which is strongly associated with anti-Semitism, for sale on his website, Yeezy.com.

According to Forbes, West’s X account was briefly suspended in February when X CEO Elon Musk said it was marked ‘NSFW’ in response to West posting inappropriate imagery.

Earlier in March, West made a controversial comment on X, proclaiming himself a ‘N—i.’ West wrote,

“IF A BIS-XUAL CAN F—K BOTH MEN AND WOMEN WHY CANT I BE A N—I THAT LOVED J—S”

Previously, Kanye West’s X account (then known as Twitter) was banned in December 2022. Giving the reason for the suspension, Musk had posted on X at the time, writing:

“I tried my best. Despite that, he again violated our rule against incitement to violence. Account will be suspended.”

At the time, West had also given an interview with InfoWars, claiming that he had a love for Hitler and N—s, according to CNBC.

BBC noted that the ban, lasting for eight months, followed another anti-Semitic post by West. The news outlet also noted that Kanye West had been briefly suspended from Instagram the previous year owing to a racially insensitive remark about Trevor Noah.
