K-pop group MOMOLAND are set to resume activities as a full group under a new company.

All-girl K-pop group MOMOLAND, who disbanded back in 2023 after the expiration of their contract with MLD Entertainment, are finally making their comeback. It was reported on April 10 that members Hyebin, Jane, Nayun, JooE, Ahin, and Nancy have signed an exclusive contract with Inyeon Entertainment. According to a statement released by their new company:

"We have signed an exclusive contract regarding team activities with MOMOLAND."

The group was founded through a reality TV show called Finding Momoland and debuted in 2016 with the mini album Welcome to MOMOLAND. They expanded to 9 members in 2017, and the track Bboom Bboom from their third mini-album GREAT! recorded global hits. This led to a steady rise in popularity along with songs like BAAM, Thumbs Up and, most recently, Yummy Yummy. The group faced unsteady waters as the late joiners Taehwa and Daisy left the team, and Yeonwoo focused on her acting career, leaving behind a six-member group.

In January 2023, they officially ended their contracts as the company was also facing financial issues simultaneously.

Fans react to MOMOLAND's comeback news

Merries, the group's official fandom, have long been anticipating this comeback and can barely hold themselves back after hearing of the reunion. There is also speculation on whether other members would also make a comeback, especially ex-member Daisy, who had a controversial exit from the group.

"Momoland is an example of the right person, wrong place. i hope their new company treats them better,"- one fan said.
"Praying for the new company to give them better songs than the disco polo stuff they’ve been wasting their potential on,"- another expressed.
"Omg one of the best news I've heard all year.. Depressing to see some of the 3rd gens disband,"- one merry stated.
A fan hilariously quipped,- "You know April fools was the 1st right? Not the 10th RIGHT."
While a fan talked about Daisy's situation as well,- "Why are people actually expecting daisy to come back? she hasn’t been a part of the group for years and she has been very vocal about not ever wanting to go back to the industry."

In a live stream, the singer had herself revealed that she was fired, for reasons she herself wasn't quite clear on, but she also informed her fans that she was doing well.

The members will continue pursuing their individual activities in acting, variety shows, and more but will come together for group activities under their new agency.
