Megan Thee Stallion has fans hooked on her bold new single, Whenever.

The Houston songstress dropped her first single of the year on Friday, April 25, accompanied by a trippy music video directed by Zac Dov Wiesel. In it, she can be seen answering calls as a receptionist before rapping from inside a fish tank.

“It’s whenever, b—h, it’s whatever, hoe/ We can do it right now, we can take it out the door,” she raps.

She then heads for the desert, clad in a cowboy hat:

“I love when I hear that a b—h don’t like me, stalk my IG/ This pretty face on her FYP,” Megan Thee Stallion goes on.

Here's everything Megan Thee Stallion has been doing in the last few weeks: From launching her tequila brand to working on a new album

Megan Thee Stallion teased fans ahead of the release of Whenever when she dropped the movie-style poster on Instagram. In it, she could be seen sporting a denim-heavy cowgirl look with a mismatched bra and underwear set and a Western hat embroidered with an “M.”

The songstress recently told fans on her TikTok Live that she's been working on her Act: III album, but it's currently unclear if Whenever is the first single to come out of it.

“I’m really just trying to figure out who do I want to do features with at this point in life,” she said. “I only want to do features with people that … one, I haven’t done a feature with yet, and two, that I listen to on my own time — people that I actually, you know, f— with.”

More details about the album also remain scarce, though she did express excitement to work with Doechii, who is on her “album wish list.”

The drop comes ahead of the singer's feat in May, when she will be honored at the fourth annual Gold House Gold Gala for her longtime support of Asian Pacific culture across music, fashion, and film.

She also launched her own tequila brand recently, called Chicas Divertidas, and it offers premium Blanco and Reposado varieties. This is available to purchase online.

This weekend, Megan Thee Stallion delivered a memorable set at Coachella as she brought out greats like Queen Latifah, Ciara, and Victoria Monét as her special guests. Notably, however, her mic was off as she seemingly exceeded her set time while performing Mamushi.
