Rapper Kanye West dropped a music video titled, Ye - Bully V1 on his YouTube channel on March 22, 2025. The 45-minute video shows West's son, Saint West, in a wrestling ring, facing off against multiple opponents alone while using a toy mallet.
The album plays in the background. Social media users shared their reactions in the comments section of the YouTube video. One internet user (@MikeSquiresAndFriends) wrote:
“Kanye is like that toxic ex i keep coming back to, everyone tell me to cut him off but here i am.”

While some netizens joked about Kanye West suddenly dropping Ye - Bully V1, others complimented his work.
“Ye really had his son fighting Luchadores for 45 minutes lmao,” a video watcher (@mrtokyo8143) commented.
“Dude really just dropped the album like it slipped his mind mid-tweet ‘Oh right, almost forgot, here you go,’” a netizen (@luvi-uy8qi) mentioned.
“Honestly speaking, this sounds better than vultures. This is more Kanye,” a YouTube user (@Phriffo) noted.
YouTube users picked on the minor details on Kanye West’s album while some called him the “greatest artist.”
“Ye releasing an early version of his album as a demo, so fans can give him advice and feedback is such a cool idea,” a media user (@jwgreenmist 6620) opined.
“No matter what this man says. He will forever be remembered as the greatest artist that ever touched the earth,” an online user (@trappeddarkhd1707) claimed.
“It’s crazy to think that we’re all hearing this for the first time and that no one has heard any of the final tracks yet and that we’re all going into euphoria at the same instant,” an internet user (@CarouselGuy) mentioned.
“Notice how any song is like a movie soundtrack in black and white. It's the picture that so accurately emphasizes the music. This sh*t has just been on my mind since this morning,” a netizen (@qrwawrwrw4364) remarked.
Kanye West on naming his new album, 'Bully'
According to Rolling Stone, Kanye West released three different versions of the short film, namely 'screening', 'post-hype', and 'post-post-hype' versions. These short films were directed by Ye, edited by Hype Williams, and featured his son. While speaking to Justin Laboy on February 5, 2025, West was asked about his rationale for choosing the name “Bully.” He replied:
“You know, my son was playing with some kid and then he kicked him and I asked my son, ‘Why you do that?’ He said, ‘Cause he weak.’ And I was like this man is really a bully.”
He added that Saint had the habit of being a bully. When asked about the album’s release, he said:
“My oldest said to bring it out in June.”
Bully was first announced in September 2024 during a performance at Wuyuan River Stadium in Haikou, China, where Ye also debuted the song Beauty and the Beast.
Kanye West explained on X that he chose to release the album independently to avoid traditional streaming platforms, claiming streaming numbers are manipulated and criticizing major record labels. He also mentioned plans for Donda 2 and asked fans whether they preferred Vultures 3 or Donda 3 next.
