Lady Gaga fans in Australia might have something to celebrate. The pop superstar has hinted at an upcoming tour, which would mark her first return to the country in more than ten years. However, she has not made an official announcement yet.

Lady Gaga’s recent radio appearance has sparked excitement among her fanbase. The singer was last in Australia in 2014 for her 'artRAVE: The ARTPOP Ball' tour, which was for her fourth studio album, 'Artpop'.

Since then, she has released multiple albums, which include Joanne (2016) and Chromatica (2020). However, she skipped Australia on both tours. Now, with her latest album 'Mayhem' out, the pop icon has hinted at a comeback.

A cryptic hint from Lady Gaga about a possible Australian comeback tour

During an interview with Australian radio station 101.9 The Fox’s Fifi, Fev & Nick, Lady Gaga was asked about the possibility of an Australian tour, Billboard reports. She did not confirm the news outright but teased,

"I can’t formally announce anything, but I can tell you that I’m going to be announcing… some things. I miss my fans there so much, I really do. I have such fond memories of being in Australia, it’s a beautiful place and I really do want to come back soon."

Reflecting on her latest album 'Mayhem', the singer stated,

"This album has so many different genres on it; from ‘90s grunge, industrial music, to funk music, ‘80s synth pop… it’s all my favorite things in a blender. It’s why I called it Mayhem – because it’s chaos. I do think that I felt a lot of pressure, over the years, to prove myself as a musician. And that sometimes stopped me from having fun. So, I tried to have a lot of fun making this record."

Her statement in the interview suggests that an official tour announcement might not be far off.

Lady Gaga has a strong connection with Australia

In the early years of her career, she used to visit Australia frequently for concerts and promotional events. She was named an honorary citizen of Sydney in 2011 by then-Lord Mayor Clover Moore in recognition of her advocacy for the LGBTQIA+ community.

Her last Australian tour was artRAVE: The ARTPOP Ball. It took place in August 2014 and featured eye-catching stage designs, costume changes, and a high-energy performance. Since then, Australian fans have been left waiting, as her Joanne and Chromatica tours skipped the country.

With 'Mayhem' now released and a headlining set at Coachella in April 2025, Gaga’s schedule is filling up, making a tour announcement more likely. This makes a tour announcement more likely.

If Gaga returns to Australia, fans can expect a spectacle. Her previous tours have been beloved by fans for their high-energy theatrical performances.

Besides music, Lady Gaga has been actively working on film projects. She recently revealed that she’s collaborating with her fiancé, Michael Polansky, on a new film.
