Kendrick Lamar slams A$AP Relli on Playboi Carti's ‘GOOD CREDIT’

Playboi Carti dropped his elusive Music album on March 14, 2025, after multiple time and date switches, and the tracks are making waves already. Kendrick Lamar appeared on three tracks, namely Backr00m, Mojo Jojo and Good Credit and seemingly took shots at A$AP Relli in the latter.

In the second verse of Good Credit by Playboi Carti, it would seem that the Not Like Us rapper used a choice word to describe Relli, who accused former group mate, A$AP Rocky, of alleged assault with a semiautomatic firearm in 2021 and lost the criminal case in February 2025.

The verse reads:

"Eliantte go big, white gold link fall on the belly/ The emerald cuff for hers and his, that b**** on point like A$AP Relli/ I'm talking 'bout— ah/ The numbers is nothing, the money is nothing, I really been him, I promise."

A$AP Relli, aka Terrell Ephron, accused A$AP Rocky, real name Rakim Myers, of allegedly shooting him in 2021 during a verbal argument in Los Angeles. Relli instituted a civil suit against the latter, and a criminal suit followed.

Rocky was charged with two counts of felony assault with a semiautomatic weapon. The criminal trial began in January 2025, during which the accused maintained his innocence and turned down a plea deal for 180 days in jail, three years of probation, and a seven-year suspended sentence, choosing to take his chances with a 12-man jury.

Rocky’s attorney accused Relli of making false statements on the stand and produced text messages exchanged between both men. After A$AP Rocky was acquitted on both counts on February 18, 2025, a section of the hip-hop community had taken to calling out Relli for being a snitch.

50 Cent referred to Relli as "A$AP TELLI". It would seem that Lamar, who has collaborated with A$AP Rocky on multiple occasions, has made his thoughts on Relli known in Playboi Carti's Good Credit. Relli addressed the way his reputation suffered a blow after the trial on his Instagram Stories. He stated:

"Gossiping is a form of entertainment for people who have no meaningful goals or purpose in life. Hate me, bring shame to my name, say bad things about me, I don’t care. Your existence doesn’t add any value in my life.”
