Kelly Clarkson had a full-on meltdown as her favorite idol, Spice Girls member Geri Halliwell-Horner, showered her with heartfelt praises—live on TV!

The Ginger Spice popped up on The Kelly Clarkson Show amid the promotions of her sophomore book Rosie Frost: Ice on Fire. But instead of sitting down for a typical interview, the “Viva Forever” songstress flipped the roles and took on the hosting duties herself.

"I know we're here to talk about me, but I want to talk about you."

The Spice Girl left the host visibly stunned, but she went on:

“Kelly, sometimes, we get along in our lives and we just get on with it. And to acknowledge your path, from going from where you were as a singer; before that, you were talking about your upbringing. And then on being on [American Idol], and then you’ve had two children, then you’ve pivoted, made your own show, which is a huge success. You’ve had books out, Then, she’s got her own record company. She’s amazing!”

The studio audience members erupted in cheers as she lauded the host, leaving Clarkson flustered and joking:

“How do you know my life?”

When the ‘90s icon suggested the producers “leave that bit in about her,” Clarkson bashfully turned it down and admitted:

“I’m having an out-of-body experience, ‘cause I’m playing it real cool. Obviously, I’m a huge Spice Girls fan.”

Hearing the declaration, she stood up to hug Clarkson.

But the “Let Love Lead The Way” singer didn’t stop there, because she followed it up with a thoughtful message about kindness, with a nod to her favorite movie, It’s A Wonderful Life, starring James Stewart.

“I like to think you can be kind and good and still get to the top. You can be successful. You don’t have to be horrible. You can be kind and loving.”

Clarkson nodded along, then joked that she would ask for the footage before finally managing to retake the reins toward the interview.
