On April 14, Katy Perry went to space with an all-women crew comprising Gayle King and Lauren Sánchez, among others. Following her 10-minute trip across the internationally recognized space border and back via the Blue Origin flight, the singer faced a wave of backlash upon her return.

During Wednesday night's concert, she addressed the same while clad in a silver metal bodysuit. She asked the audience,

“Has anyone ever called your dreams crazy?”

At the time, model Emily Ratajkowski said she was “disgusted” to learn of the space launch, as reported by Page Six.

“That space mission this morning? That’s end time s–t. Like, this is beyond parody,” she said on TikTok. “That you care about Mother Earth and it’s about Mother Earth, and you’re going up in a spaceship that is built and paid for by a company that’s single-handedly destroying the planet?”

Olivia Munn, on the other hand, slammed the millionaires for wasting “so much money” by traveling to space. The 44-year-old actress said on Today with Jenna & Friends:

“I know this probably isn’t the cool thing to say, but there are so many other things that are so important in the world right now[...] What are you guys gonna do up in space? What are you doing up there?”

At the time of writing, further details about Katy Perry's forthcoming project remain unclear, and only time will tell how well it fares among fans and naysayers.
