“It meant a lot”: Netizens react as BTS’ RM shares Moonbin’s tribute song ‘Memory of the Moon' on his IG story with message for Cha Eun-woo

BTS' RM shared a screenshot of the tribute song released in honor of Moonbin on Instagram, prompting love from fans.

The musician also penned a caption for Cha Eunwoo alongside the track, titled "꿈속의 문 (Moon): Memory of the Moon":

"You Worked Hard."

The song was penned in honor of the second anniversary of the musician's passing, as it brought together 22 K-pop artists to sing. The track featured the boy band Astro, as well as several of his close friends in the industry, including Cha Eunwoo.

The internet has since been reacting with love and praise for RM, such as this one user who penned:

"Thank you RM .. it meant a lot"

The comments didn't end there:

"Precious man with a pure heart," one fan appreciated.
"Such a precious soul," someone else echoed.
"Thank you RM for acknowledging the efforts and heart that Cha Eunwoo poured into this tribute song project for Bin. So proud of you @CHAEUNWOO_offcl," another chimed in.

Even more joined the discourse to appreciate RM:

"Awwww RM, proud army," one user appreciated.
"Our sweet boy RM," someone else noted.

Scores online expressed their love and support for RM, as the comments section was visibly teeming with it.

The tribute song features a collaboration from several prolific artists in the music industry, such as ASTRO members MJ, Jinjin, Cha Eun Woo, and Yoon San Ha. Rocky, who left the group in 2023, rejoined them for the tribute.

Other artists who contributed include SEVENTEEN’s Hoshi, Wonwoo, Mingyu, Dokyeom, and Seungkwan; Stray Kids’ Bang Chan; VIVIZ; MONSTA X’s I.M., Kihyun, and Minhyuk; and Moonbin’s sister Moon Sua from Billlie. Kim Doyeon, Choi Yoojung, Naungjae, and SF9’s Chani also lent their voices to the track.

The track was penned by the late musician's band, and it reflects on their last bond that stands the test of time and distance. The meaning of the song goes as follows:

"Letters of Moonbin's friends to Moonbin, who is waiting when the moon doors open." The track goes on, "When the moon door opens, we'll be standing there. We'll be there. Dreaming of the day we meet again. We will not forget you and wait for you."

Moonbin was found dead in his home in Seoul at the age of 25 on April 19, 2023.
