"If it's about Drake do we respect it": Fans react to Akademiks confirming Carti’s dropping a song with Kendrick 

Fans react to DJ Akademiks claiming Kendrick Lamar disses Drake on Playboi Carti's new album.

King Vamp is back! According to DJ Akademics, his new album features Kendrick Lamar with his signature diss track against Drake. Playboi Carti's new album "I Am Music" is set to release soon and, according to Akademis, will feature a host of A-listers, including Lil Uzi Vert, Justin Bieber, XXXTentacion, and, of course, appearances from Lamar.

This long-awaited album will follow his 2020 album, Whole Lotta Red, and would mark Kendrick and Playboi's first collaboration. The album is set to have "songs for everybody. all hits, no misses."

Akademiks, who heard some of the material, went on to X to reveal quite a lot about the new album and its potential collabs, stating,

"CARTI JUST CALLED ME AND PLAYED THE WHOLE ‘I AM MUSIC’ ALBUM. ITS GON BE CALLED A CLASSIC DAY 1. IF IM LYING UNFOLLOW AND BLOCK ME."

"CARTI SAVED 2025. FRIDAY YOU WILL SEE. PIN THIS TWEET TO REMIND URSELF TO TELL ME I WAS RIGHT."- he said in one tweet.

While in another he stated, - "MOST COMPLETE ALBUM w songs for everybody. all hits no misses. Block me if I’m lying when u hear it tm night."

He also said, - "CARTI got Pluto slime Uzi Trav Weeknd floating on dat bih. I nearly shed a tear listening to the shit. This shit for everybody I SWEAR. Btw purple hair Uzi back"

Fans react to Carti's album & potential Drake diss track

As for Drake, DJ Akademiks, the Jamaican-American podcaster, made a cryptic statement in his stream, saying,

"Buckle up y’all, that n**** talk his shit again"

Fans had a mixed reaction to this piece of information.

While some expressed excitement, others were upset he ruined the surprise. Some users also seemed tired of the beef and how it keeps stretching on.

"Kendrick is gonna dragggg this beef and we're never gonna hear the end of it,"- another said.
