Doechii has been collecting award after award this year. The latest award added to her shelf is the GLAAD award. The GLAAD (Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) Media Award is an award given to individuals who have done an excellent job portraying the LGBTQ+ community. This year's recipients are Doechii, Cynthia Erivo, and Durnad Bernarr.

During her acceptance speech, Doechii was very vocal about the LGBTQ+ community. She mentioned how the progress and rights of the community are being threatened. In her words, Doechii states,

"I [feel] disgusted. Disgusted. But I want to say that we are here and we are not going anywhere. [...] [Do] not let anyone ever block your dreams..." the "Anxiety" singer said.

She continued,

"I just want to encourage you guys to stay connected with one another. Stay passionate. Stay focused. Keep your chin up. Be kind, and be fab!" - Doechii concludes.

While accepting the GLAAD Award, Doechii did not fail to mention those who have carried the torch before her. On March 27, 2025, Doechii was presented the award by American singer, rapper, and songwriter Lil Nas X and American singer-songwriter Maren Morris.

She started her speech by mentioning some honorable names.

"I am thrilled at being recognized with such a prestigious award by GLAAD. And to [join] prior honorees such as Reneé [Rapp], Lady Gaga, Lil Nas X, Sam Smith and Janelle Monáe" - the "Denial is a River" singer starts off her speech.

She also acknowledged how special the award is for her since the GLAAD community is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. She highlights the basic values that GLAAD is known for, that is, "acceptance, inclusiveness, and empowerment".

Referring to these qualities that are deemed important by the GLAAD community, she says,

"Those are the same things I strongly believe in and advocate for and that continue to propel me forward – especially now that hard-won cultural change and rights for transgender people and the LGBTQ community have been threatened" - Doechii elaborated.

She tells queer artists to be kind and encouraging to one another. She also emphasizes remaining passionate, focused, and staying "fab"!

Doechii has released three new songs in 2025: Anxiety, Denial is a River, and Nosebleeds. She has also worked with Jennie's Blackpink in her song ExtraL. Rumors are floating around that a song with Megan Thee Stallion might be in the works in the upcoming months.
