During a live stream with producer Digital Nas, Kanye West looked back on his past efforts to help other artists. He mentioned how he aided ASAP Rocky's release from a Swedish jail in 2019. West then got personal, airing out several complaints. These included issues about his daughter North and ongoing problems with his ex-wife Kim Kardashian and her family.

As he spoke, West showed his anger towards people he thinks haven't stood up for him in public. He called out ASAP Rocky by name.

Kanye West talked about Rocky's well-known legal troubles in Sweden. He said he personally called then-President Donald Trump to push for the rapper's freedom. West seemed to think Rocky should have shown more gratitude. He hinted that Rocky should have backed him when he faced his own tough times.

“Y’all saying Rocky should say something, man,” Ye says in a video shared by @apollovwrld on X. “I called Trump and got that man out of prison, man. He supposed to be making a diss record for them.”

Kanye West's ongoing support for ASAP Rocky

ASAP Rocky's arrest in 2019 caught the world's eye, with Trump pushing for his release on social media. In 2019, reports surfaced that Kanye West contacted Trump about A$AP Rocky’s incarceration.

"Give ASAP Rocky his freedom” Ye tweeted, “Sweden has let our African American community down."

Though Rocky went free and dodged more time behind bars, he hinted in his 2021 film Stockholm Syndrome that Trump's efforts might have made things trickier.

Kanye's support for Rocky persisted over the years despite that incident. When Rocky was involved in another court case earlier this year, West allegedly provided personal support, even letting the Harlem rapper remain at his house throughout the trial. West celebrated the win on Instagram after Rocky was found not guilty.

Kanye has made it clear on social media that he supports rappers in general. He has previously expressed his admiration for both ASAP Rocky and Kodak Black in public, stating that although he disapproves of some of the rap community's actions, he still has close relationships with a few people.

West’s comments reflect a recurring theme in his public narrative: a desire for loyalty and acknowledgment from those he has backed. While reactions to his recent statements vary, they underscore the complex and sometimes strained relationships between high-profile figures in the music industry.

Kanye West is an American rapper known for his controversial views on politics, the music industry, culture, and more. He often tweets about celebrities like Elon Musk, Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar, A$AP Rocky, and Donald Trump. Kanye doesn’t hesitate to call out other celebrities by name, including his peers, former friends, or even ex-family members like the Kardashians, which stirs public drama.
