Jasiel “Yung Joc” Robinson has a tragic update to share about his family.
The Atlanta rapper spoke about a recent apartment fire incident on his Streetz 94.5 show, Yung Joc & The Streetz Morning Takeover. Robinson revealed that the three kids who lost their lives were his relatives.
Yung Joc is a father of nine children. The New Joc City rapper has had multiple relationships in the past and is currently married to Kendra Robinson. Joc has five baby mothers, with whom he shares his nine kids. During an appearance on the Dear Fathers podcast, Robinson spoke about how all mothers of his children have mutual respect,
“For the most part all the mothers are respectful to one another. They're all respectful to me. They're all respectful to my wife Kendra. Kendra is respectful to all of them, let's get that straight.”
On the same podcast, he briefly talked about raising his children. His older children are in their 20s, while the youngest one is still a toddler. Joc’s oldest son, Amoni, is around 25, while his oldest daughter is 22. Barring Amoni, some of his children are enrolled in college or high school, while others are in middle school or getting their elementary education.
Yung Joc, a father of nine, is also a grandfather; as of 2024

In 2024, Joc talked to Jesse Alex, Dear Fathers’ host, about his fatherhood. He shared how unique his situation is being a father of nine,
“There's tiers to my situation, in parenthood and fatherhood, because my oldest son is 24-years-old. So, it's so interesting when I hear women like, ‘Oh I couldn't be with a man, with all them kids.’ Why can't you? He can afford all his kids. He’s raised and properly reared all of his kids. Ain't no drama from the baby mommas.”
He also added,
“I'm not sitting here with nine rug rats running, ‘he's like goddamn, oof, you go to his house, kids everywhere.’ It's not like that.”
Yung Joc, who has been a father for almost 25 years and is a grandfather now, added,
“I think I am better at being a father now, because I have fathered for two and half decades now. Also, with that being said, this is probably the first time I have said it in an interview or podcast, but I am a grandfather. I'm a 44-year-old grandfather.”
Yung Joc’s personal life also extends to his appearance in Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta. He married his co-star from the reality TV show Kendra in 2021.
The three children who died in the Atlanta apartment fire were Yung Joc’s brother’s children
Jasiel Robinson, who initially avoided talking about the Atlanta apartment fire incident, recently opened up about it on Atlanta-based Streetz 94.5 radio station. The three children were his nephews and nieces. Joc also revealed how his brother, his brother’s girlfriend, and their family are still hurting after the incident.
Joc played a voice recording of his late niece and got visibly emotional while saying,
“I don't know if you understand the level of trauma this brings to our community, and to the families, that this affects directly or indirectly. You know, I am sad. I am hurt. I am human.”
A fire broke out in a southwest Atlanta apartment on Wednesday, February 19, 2025. Three children, Jhacari (4-year-old), Xyla (2-year-old), and Xhalia White (9-month-old), were the casualties identified by the authorities.
Initially, smoke inhalation was reported as the cause of death. However, according to Atlanta News First, the Fulton County Medical Examiner later confirmed that an autopsy would be done to determine the cause of death.
Per Atlanta News First, CPR was performed on one of the kids. However, all three were declared dead at the hospital. Mayor Andre Dickens shared his condolences after the incident and shared a GoFundMe fundraiser to help Jahda White, the kids’ mother.
