Xzibit, the Famous Rapper and former host of MTV’s Pimp My Ride is currently involved in a legal battle with his now-divorced wife Krista Joiner regarding child support and spousal support.
According to reports, Krista has filed a new lawsuit stating her financial hardship and asking the court to increase financial assistance from Xzibit.
The rapper, whose real name is Alvin Joiner, has three children. His eldest son, Tremayne Marcell, who performs under the name Tre Capital, was born in 1995.
The rapper went on to have two sons, Xavier and Gatlyn, with Krista Joiner. According to a 2022 article by People, Xavier passed away in May 2008 due to complications of a premature birth. The second son, Gatlyn, was born in June 2010, and he is now in his early teens.
Xzibit and Krista Joiner finalized their divorce in 2021, after 6 years of marriage. She recently filed a motion seeking a raise in child support and spousal support, saying she is financially unstable at the moment.
According to some reports by TMZ, she claimed that she had to leave her rental house, which cost $10,000 a month, and that she could not afford to buy designer clothes for herself or their son.
She also alleged that Xzibit refuses to pay for their son’s private school tuition but continues to fund a luxury car for his girlfriend Valeria Eagleson. Krista also claimed Xzibit is estranged from their child and they haven't seen each other since September 2024 (Vibe).
Xzibit’s response to allegations of domestic violence and financial disputes
Apart from the financial dispute, Krista Joiner has also accused Xzibit of domestic violence. She alleged that in 2022, he and his girlfriend physically assaulted her in front of their son, which left her with minor injuries.
According to Complex, In another alleged incident, the rapper supposedly smashed their son’s head on the table because he had saved memes of his girlfriend on his phone. Krista is seeking an increase in child support to $9,313 a month and $21,380 a month in spousal support.
She also claims that he owes her more than $750,000 in unpaid support and wants him to pay $300,000 in legal fees. She claims the rapper earns far more than previously known, stating that he brings in about $134,000 monthly and not just the $25,000 a month on which his current payments for her support are based.

The former host of MTV’s Pimp My Ride has denied these allegations and has filed a petition for Krista to receive a vocational evaluation. The rapper claims Krista should get a job rather than relying on permanent financial support.
He also says that Krista is living with her new boyfriend in a $3 million house he bought without his approval, according to a report by RadarOnline.
